Vis-a-vis yesterday's discussion of the future of writing, Molly Worthen has a good essay at the NYT today arguing that professors should shift back to oral examinations in most courses.
Perhaps appropriately I am today not reading but listening to presentations at Penn's Annenberg School for Communication on Media Practice in an Emergent World Order, which promises to be a fascinating day.
