As Rick says in Casablanca, it seems like destiny has taken a hand--after the first lot went into the barbecue sauce, I discovered that most of the second lot are unusable due to rot (they were 'seconds', so that was the point--I knew I was pushing it to wait until now to work with them). So I think what's left of the second lot is going to be ice cream.
